Adventure Race

Adventure racing has taken off in a big way around the country, and looks like a fun sport for a team of three.  The Masters event will cover: flat kayaking on the Warrego River, two run legs, a short swim, and a mountain bike section.  The idea is for the strongest competitor to ensure that the weakest keeps up with him/her as the teams time is calculated on the last team member across the line– interesting concept for all you competitive people. Oh yes, and the team must be mixed.. none of this all boys stuff for us.

Venue
The Adventure Race is a new addition to the Masters event, and the Committee has decided on the format, but at this stage is unsure of the track.  We would like the race to cross the Warrego River at least four times, via swim, run, kayak, cycle legs, to allow spectators to view the event without moving from this position.  At this stage we will meet at the Darby Land Bridge, on the grassed area closest to town.  Parking for spectators is available on Louise St.  For further details watch this space and we will update in the near future.
